Fife Women in Business is a volunteer-led organisation and we are keen for you to get involved!
As per our constitution, we operate with a committee of six official roles:
- President
- Vice President
- Immediate Past President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- General Committee members (2 minimum)
We also allocate responsibility for Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy hosting, Membership support, Website oversight, and ASB liaison. At the AGM 2024, we elected a committee of 10 to support our growing FWB membership.
At our upcoming AGM 2025, we are keen to elect the following committee vacancies:
- President
- Secretary
- General Committee members (incl. social media, events, newsletter support)

Roles and responsibilities
- The FWB committee meets approximately 6 times a year (every 2 months) for up to 90 minutes.
- Between meetings, each committee member takes the lead on role responsibilities or an allocated task.
- It is each committee member’s responsibility to pro-actively help out!
Required effort approximately 1-2 hours per month.
Expectation for each role:
President
- Chair committee meetings
- General committee oversight
- FWB software and subscriptions oversight
- ASB president liaison
- Chair AGM
Vice President (Amy H)
- Stand in for Chair if not available
- Oversight of roles / responsibilities / potential resource / help etc
- Volunteering oversight
Immediate Past President (Marlene 22-24)
- Continuity for handover to President
Treasurer (Kelly)
- Responsible for day-to-day overview of finances
- Custodian of chequebook / bank card
- Responsible for end of year accounts / organise audit
Secretary
- Lead meeting agenda setup – nudge the week before for any new items
- Minutes of Committee Meetings
- Minutes of AGM
Membership (Pamela)
- Report current membership numbers at committee meetings
- Respond to general membership enquiries through email and Eventbrite
Website (Jenny)
- Maintain member profiles on website
- General website support
ASB Rep (Heather)
- Meeting attendance and visibility
- Promotion to our members
- Award promotion and support
Regular networking event hosts (Heather and Kelly)
- Setup and host of monthly Dunfermline / Kirkcaldy networking event
- Responsibility to find a new host if unable to attend
- Custodian of FWB pullout banner!
Communications
- Newsletter development (every 1-2 months)
- Eventbrite event setup
Social media
- Event follow up posts
- Oversight of Facebook and Linkedin pages
